Geography: We are in the middle of Chapter 4 and will soon be pausing for our mini-unit on cultural diffusion, using Spain's conquest of the Inca as a case study.
Civics: It's that time: time to prepare for the US Constitution Test. Remember: you must pass this test to graduate. American Heroes: We are wrapping up our unit on Civil War Reconstruction and will soon begin a new unit on the Industrial Age. World History: We are finishing Chapter 10, which looks at the role of nationalism in the lead-up to WWI. We will likely be testing on Feb 7 or 8. The following week, we will begin Chapter 12 on the "new imperialism" that led to a second age of European colonization and conquest. US History: We are in the middle of our unit on WWII and the Post War Era (Chapters 14 & 15). We will likely be testing on this unit the week of February 12. Current Events: Media Bias viewpoint project presentations will be delivered on Feb 1. We'll analyze the State of the Union Address on Friday, and next week we'll focus on recognizing the danger of fake news in regards to American democracy. Government: We'll soon be starting our unit on the US Constitution. Econ: On Feb 1, we will begin our unit examining the law of supply and demand. |
